The early modern forms a core part of undergraduate and postgraduate training across the humanities. These webinars seek to offer a space to discuss and strategise about teaching early modern studies in the twenty-first century. We hope to create a relaxed and collaborative environment to discuss the following questions:
Why do we teach the early modern? How do we teach the early modern? How might we take better advantage of new pedagogical methods, cross-institutional collaborations, and digital projects?
Each webinar will focus on a specific theme, which will be introduced by an invited speaker. We will then have a wider discussion about the theme and how it fits into our own pedagogy. This is a great opportunity to share and discuss different approaches to teaching the early modern.
