Doing a PhD Workshop

  • Bush House (SE), 2.01, King's College London Strand London United Kingdom (map)

Thinking about doing a PhD? Join CEMS for a workshop on the PhD experience. We will be joined by a panel of current PhD researchers from across King’s. The workshop will explore motivations for pursuing doctoral study, the structure and expectations of a PhD programme, and the skills, resilience, and time commitment required for success. Through guided discussion and practical insights, participants will reflect on whether a PhD aligns with their academic, professional, and personal goals, while gaining strategies for navigating supervision, managing research challenges, and maintaining wellbeing throughout the process.

Join us on Tuesday 27th January at 15:00 in Bush House (SE), 2.01. Light refreshments will be provided. The session will last one hour.

If you are interested in attending but external to King’s, please get in touch so we can arrange a visitor’s pass.
